Unique Wedding Planing / Unique Weddings / Wentworth Castle Gardens / Bespoke Wedding Planning

Unique Wedding Planning / Wentworth Castle / April 2013

I’ve just received the images from two amazing weddings this year so far!

Both weddings took place at the stunning Wentworth Castle Gardens within the same week, as always they were both unique and lived up to the expectations of the couples dream day!

I love getting to see wedding images after getting to know the couple so well and sharing their special day with them!

The wedding of Emma and James

The wedding of Gemma and James

It’s really rewarding to see somebody’s dream day come together and watch them enjoy every minute!

It makes me realise how lucky I am to love my job!

Unique Wedding Planning / Bespoke Wedding planning / Bespoke Services / Wentworth Castle Gardens

Unique Wedding Planning Bespoke Services

I have had two weddings this week & both have taken place at the stunning Wentworth Castle Gardens, with each couple receiving a unique & bespoke service.  They had completely different needs, with one requiring an on the day coordination marquee service & one needing full wedding planning support

Gemma and James were married on the 13th April. I met them two years ago at a wedding show, & since this time, they’ve been busy, planning their big day – on the day, all they wanted was to sit back & enjoy it, without the stress of worrying about the coordination too
They had a fabulous marquee, which I set up in the morning, then I was on-hand to make sure that everything ran to plan – it was all perfect.. all except for the wind!
I hope they enjoyed their day as much as I did- the first time I looked at my watch, I’d been there 11 hours!

Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Shaw!

Emma and James were married on the 19th April.  I met them just over a year ago and have worked with them on every aspect of their wedding – we went dress shopping & cake-tasting (the best bits!) & I helped them find all the rest of their suppliers & then coordinated the actual day for them.  It’s so rewarding to see everything come together!
Emma and James had a full wedding planning service & part of their brief was to have a Civil Ceremony, followed by an intimate blessing, again, something totally unique.  I produced a mood board at the start of our time together & can’t wait to show you how the professional images reflect this!

Again, I hope they enjoyed their day as much as I did - it just flew by and was amazing to be a part of it!
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Mills!

Thank-you to some wonderful suppliers that have made this week’s weddings possible!

Unique Weddings - Looking back over an incredible year

Unique Weddings - 2011/2012

Its looking like another busy year for unique, with January already gone and many new enquiries, there looks to be another exciting year in-store. Grabbing time whilst possible in between meeting couples, venue visits and preparation for wedding shows I'm back to blogging.

I've been extremely privileged to work with some lovely couples over the 12 months but unfortunately haven't had time to share some of the stunning images I have gathered from them.

It's been an absolute pleasure
Enjoy! There is more to follow! x

A huge thank you goes out to all of the suppliers and venues who all helped to turn all of these couples dreams into reality.

Trends for 2012

The Garden Theme

I've noticed that the ‘Garden’ theme is predicted to be one of the major trending features of 2012 weddings & has been featured heavily in lots of Spring Wedding Shows…

Weddings have always had links to nature: beauty and romance and flowers have been brought indoors as a key decoration and focal point of many ceremonies, but now the emphasis is beginning to focus on taking the inside out......and why not?

That’s how you get the best of both – the comfort and style of indoor living and the freedom of the outdoors. It’s a modern twist on an age old tradition, and looking at pictures like these I can see how the idea will inspire many weddings this year:

If these ideas seem slightly fantastical, or just too much like hard work for you, don’t forget that by hiring a Wedding Planner the extra pair of hands will go a very long way. Their job is to ensure that your day is as stress free and enjoyable for you as possible.

There is the contemptuous British weather to contend with, which will always be a match for any Wedding Planner, but there are many ways to incorporate this theme into your wedding which are (almost) weather-proof... Talk to Unique about the venues where this is all possible ....

Wentworth Castle

There are lots of reasons to have your wedding at the superb venue, Wentworth Castle, not least of all because of the history that lays behind it, that makes it one of the most fascinating buildings for miles.
The bitter family feud between Thomas Wentworth & his cousin over inheritance, resulted in the building of a vast estate & gardens, with Thomas determined to show his wealth. In 1727 Thomas even began to build the mock castle on the highest point of the estate that could be viewed by his cousin some 7 miles away. In 1731, when the building was complete, he renamed the house and estate as Wentworth Castle.
Whatever the reasons, what remains today is a superb venue, steeped in history, with many opportunities to have the wedding & photographs of your dreams.  It is a favoured venue of some of the top photographers in our region & the images below are courtesy of one of my favourites, Tierney Photography.

The Long Barn

So, as you can see there so many possibilities for your Wedding Day... The Long Barn can be used for Civil Ceremonies too, as well as your Wedding Breakfast.  I'll be there on the 13th March at the Wedding Fayre to talk through all your ideas....
Huge thanks to Mark Tierney of Tierney Photography for showing Wentworth Castle Gardens in his Unique & innovative style...see more of his work @ www.tierneyphotography.co.uk
