The Stancliffe Hall Designer Wedding Show

I was asked at the end of last year, if I'd like to organise the next Wedding Fayre for Stancliffe Hall & immediately said "yes".  It was a prefect opportunity to combine my marketing skills from the past with all the relationships that I've made since becoming a Wedding Planner 2 years ago

Stancliffe Hall is such a prestigious venue but has the feel of a luxurious home, hence it's 6 star home reputation
Truly exclusive hire will enable you & your guests to have private use of the hall & grounds for your Unique day

Such a special place deserved it's title of "The Designer Wedding Show" & the suppliers there were hand-picked to compliment the venue - Molton Brown also sponsored the event.
Everything was planned to the last detail - (except the weather- which was awful !) & all the suppliers & the Stancliffe team had an extremely successful day, with many taking bookings during the show - Believe me, if you were going to come out on a day like that, then you were a serious buyer!

Here's a small selection of the suppliers involved

Big thanks to Karl from Stancliffe Studios for capturing the day

Wedding Themes

In 2012 a Wedding Theme needn’t be restrictive, rigid or old fashioned. Your wedding is likely to involve aspects of different themes which complement and flatter one another… Or if you have a passion for a certain theme, it can be a lovely way to tie all of those important little design details together

A theme idea may start with a favourite colour, a preferred table decoration or even a mood you want your wedding to enjoy

I mentioned the value of Mood Boards & Styling ideas in a previous blog, and similarly when working with a Wedding Planner it may be useful to suggest any theme ideas that you imagine your wedding to be inspired by…

Here are some on trend themes for 2012..

     "Garden Party"

"Vintage Glamour"

         "Multi-Coloured"

"White Weddings" by Red Floral Architecture"

One of the most exciting things about these trending themes is how they can be combined and contrasted. I look forward to working with you to design the overall look of your Wedding and ensure that it is completely ‘you’ and totally Unique X

Trends for 2012

The Garden Theme

I've noticed that the ‘Garden’ theme is predicted to be one of the major trending features of 2012 weddings & has been featured heavily in lots of Spring Wedding Shows…

Weddings have always had links to nature: beauty and romance and flowers have been brought indoors as a key decoration and focal point of many ceremonies, but now the emphasis is beginning to focus on taking the inside out......and why not?

That’s how you get the best of both – the comfort and style of indoor living and the freedom of the outdoors. It’s a modern twist on an age old tradition, and looking at pictures like these I can see how the idea will inspire many weddings this year:

If these ideas seem slightly fantastical, or just too much like hard work for you, don’t forget that by hiring a Wedding Planner the extra pair of hands will go a very long way. Their job is to ensure that your day is as stress free and enjoyable for you as possible.

There is the contemptuous British weather to contend with, which will always be a match for any Wedding Planner, but there are many ways to incorporate this theme into your wedding which are (almost) weather-proof... Talk to Unique about the venues where this is all possible ....

Mood-Boards & Styling Ideas

Mood-Boards & Styling Ideas

I thought that with the snow outside, it would be a good time to start thinking about Spring & the start of the Wedding Season.... I can't wait to be honest!

I'm sharing a recent mood-board that started as a design outline for a couple. Boards such as this are a great way of focusing on what exactly it is that you have in mind. It will help you visualise your day & in some instances, once you've seen everything together, you may decide that this isn't what you wanted at all!! .... It's potentially a great cost saving exercise to stop you booking things that you later have to cancel....

They can be pulled together easily on-line or you can have great fun collecting pictures from magazines (not so great on the cost saving front..but nice anyway!). It's a great way of pulling out ideas & styles for your Unique day. If you can find time to do this, certainly for your venue styling, flowers & cake, it will save you hours in the long run & it will give your suppliers the best possible chance of delivering your day, exactly the way you wanted it..

Most good Wedding Planners will start with a mood-board so they can be 100% sure that they are going to select the best suppliers for your style & budget...
