I couldn’t be any more excited about the wedding show taking place this weekend at Wentworth Castle Gardens in Barnsley – S75 3ET

It’s perfect timing as it coincides with the opening of the Victorian Conservatory which has been completely renovated over the last 18 months & will provide the perfect setting for your ceremony

There is a selection of hand-picked suppliers showcasing everything that you will need for your unique day –

Entrance to the show is completely free

Wentworth Castle Gardens is a stunning venue & I have been lucky enough to work on some amazing weddings there

There are some really stunning guest book ideas & I've seen so many unique ideas this year.

A simple but effective idea, is to get all your guests to sign one of the cut out shapes& they can then be put together and framed to make a fantastic & sentimental piece of art

Another simple and effective idea is A wish tree

A really unique idea is to sign a Jenga brick & you can be reminded of the wedding every time you play!

Another great arty idea is to use inks & have everyone make a print of their thumb as though it’s a leaf on a branch – it looks amazing when complete

Getting your guests to take a polaroid picture of themselves & leave a message is not only fun but bang on trend with the whole vintage themed wedding

Finally, I really this idea of getting your guests to write a message and post it into one of the bottles
When it gets to the anniversary’s these bottles represent, they will be smashed to reveal all the messages left by your wedding guests

Guest books have come a long way since the book & pen idea & there endless possibilities.. I hope you like the ones I’ve shared as much as I do ..

It’s important for your bridesmaids to be comfortable on your special day, after all, they will be running around after you for most of it!

You may have a set colour & style for your bridesmaids or you may go for a variation of styles, within the same colour palette or even the same style in different colours – As long as you have something that pulls everything together, like the flowers for example- anything goes…

Here are a few ideas

I really like how the girls in these pictures all have a different dress to suit them; you want them to look & feel good too ..

The girls here are all wearing the same dress in the same colour however all have the top tied differently which gives them all a sense of individuality

If you can’t decide on a colour, who says you need too?

I just love this!

If you’ve chosen a colour, why not have variations of it from the same palette … I love this overall look

Don’t forget the flower girls!

Don't forget the Groom!!

It's his special day & he will want to look his best too ..

Many Grooms go for the traditional morning suit when choosing their wedding attire but more recently I have seen more and more people choosing a more relaxed approach & selecting suits that they'll be able to wear again

What I really like about this picture is the way each groomsman is wearing the same colour pallet yet wearing totally different ties, this is a really effective idea and gives each groomsman an individual edge

Another really simple but also effective idea is having the groom in a different suit to the rest of the groomsmen.

My couples often ask me about gift ideas for their Best Man & Ushers. Personally I think that something that will be used everyday will make a great gift - even better if they can be personalised too

Wedding Favors are a fantastic way of creating more to talk about on your special day! People think that wedding favors are limited to a small box of confectionery, this is not the case!

Favors are a great way of showing your appreciation to your guests on your big day and there are so many things you can do!

Even if you’re wanting to take the confectionery route why not do something different such as cakes or cookies? They can be made into a real feature on the table and boxed to look amazing.

I have also found a collection of personalized gifts. A bonus to these is that they are something that guests can take home and are something for them to keep and remember your day.

Not forgetting the kids!

Weddings are extremely long days for children and they can end up becoming extremely restless, it is often a good idea to give the kinds something to do as a wedding favor. I have found some really good ideas which should keep them entertained and occupied.

Something proving popular this summer is the brooch bouquet, it can be such a fantastic idea for adding something really sentimental to your wedding outfit, adding some extra sparkle and best of all its something to keep afterwards!

Some of these bouquets are purely made from a collection of brooches and pins where as some of the others are mixed with a floral bouquet. Some brides do this as a clever way of combining jewelry from departed relatives with their bouquet which will be held close to their heart on their special day.
